DESCRIPTION
It is an interactive electronic map based on Google Maps. The software used html5, css3, java script, Maps Javascript API, photoshop 2020 and illustrator 2020. Through this software we can see various aspects of culture in the ancient era. The student enters the archeological site which refers to the specific historical period. In the clasic era, for example, we mention those archeological sites and findings related to this period. In Athens, for example, the information and photos we have, relate only to classic era and this differentiates our software from google maps. However, there are all the features provided by google maps. For example, one can put the little google man in the archeological site and see it live.

EDUCATIONAL DESCRIPTION
The proposed software contributes to the development of historical, critical, visual, digital and cartographic literacy. Students learn to navigate google maps and approach historical events spatially and critically. They also acquire teamwork and social skills. It is in line with the Curricula of History, as it provides for the use of digitized maps to investigate the dispersion of positions in the various historical periods and to draw conclusions about the economic and political life of the periods. Indicative tasks in the classroom: NORTH EAST AEGEAN SEA CIVILIZATION • What are the economic activities of the islands then and today? • How do we know that people were engaged in trade then (we interpret archaeological findings, eg the shipwreck in Alonissos)? • Was there tourism then? Why yes? Why not; CYCLADIC CIVILIZATION • Comparison of Acrotiri Thira with Pompeii MINOAN CULTURE • what caused the disaster? • tour of the palace and comparison of the palace of Knossos with the palace of Nestor in Pylos • How did the descent of the Dorians affect the Minoan civilization? What happened to the Minoans? ΜYCENAEAN CIVILIZATION • vaulted tombs of the Mycenaean period GEOMETRIC PERIOD • separation of groups studying the descent of the Dorians and the movement of the other Greek races • entrance to the archeological sites and collection of historical and archaeological information about the places • exploring aspects of the Geometric period (society and economy, material culture) through archaeological findings and scientific reports on them. • what happened to the Minoans after the descent of the Dorians? • why the colonies were founded in the places they were founded: interpretations of climate, soil and other conditions? ARCHAIC ERA • Why did they build the colonies there? (climate; Soil conditions (rivers, sea, rocks, location-proximity);) • Why did not Athens establish colonies during the archaic period? • March of Miletus (founded by the Ionians during the geometric era. During the Archaic it became the same metropolis of many colonies. However, it was subjugated to the Persians. It was liberated after the end of the Persian wars. Because Athens and Eretria tried to liberate the Ionian cities that rebelled against the Persians? Why did they rebel? Antalcidean peace. Why did Alexander the Great want to liberate Asia Minor?) • Persian wars: how do we know that…? How we control sources, how we cross them? Why did the Athenians and the Eretrians rush to help the Ionian cities? • Works on the metropolises and their colonies. • Samos and Eupaline trench, work of Eupalini in the period of the tyrant Polycrates. Works of Peisistratos in Athens through the photos of the software. What is the role of tyrants and how has the concept changed today? CLASSICAL AGE • Colonies of Athens at this time • Why these cities sided with the Athenian alliance and not with the Peloponnesian (Delian alliance)? • 4 phases of the Peloponnesian War and the role of the Sardines • Marches of Philip and Alexander REPEATED ISSUES 1. many colonies were made during the a and b colonization. most today are ruins. was there anything left in the population (genetically, culturally)? 2. Alexander the Great: Are Greek elements surviving in Asia and Egypt? 3. Greater Greece-Sicily: why is it called that? are there linguistic and other cultural elements that support this name? 4. in 1922 AD the Pontians and Asia Minor were uprooted. They were Greeks. Since when did Greek populations live there? 4 in many areas many ancient theaters are preserved. Investigate in which areas they are preserved and examine the role of theater in the life of the ancient Greek
