Boy: I’m bored. Do you want to do
something tonight?
Girl: Sure?
Boy: Well, the film festival is in town. And
I’m in the mood for seeing a movie.
How does that sound?
Girl: Yea; I could go for a movie.
Boy: E.T., an old Spielberg film, is on at the
Cinepolis theatre.
Girl: I haven’t seen it?
Boy: It’s a sci-fi about an alien baby who
is lost on Earth. E.T. is found by a
10-year-old boy, Elliot. They begin to
communicate, and become friends.
E.T. wants to go home, but if Elliot
helps him, he’ll lose a friend... It takes
place in the U.S.A.
Girl: Who’s in it?
Boy: It’s starring Henry Thomas. He plays
the boy, Elliott, who hides E.T. at
home and protects him.
Girl: What do the critics say about it?
Boy: The critics say it’s moving and
exciting. It won 4 Oscars!
Girl: OK. Let’s see that. What time does it
start?
Boy: Show times are at 6:45 and 8:30.
Girl: Why don’t we catch the 9:30 so that
we can have a bite to eat before we
go?
