A couple was travelling in a carriage on their way home from a trip. When it started to get dark, they knocked on a cottage door to ask for a place to sleep. The old couple that lived there was very nice. They cooked them a delicious meal. Next morning, the travelers woke up very early. Before they continued their journey, they left a shiny 50 cent piece on the table. Later that day, they arrived at the nearby town, so they stopped at a small restaurant to rest. The restaurant owner informed them that the old couple of the cottage died in a fire long ago. The travelers went back to the cottage to see if the story was true. To their surprise, the cottage was burned and abandoned. Shocked, they tried to enter the house. Suddenly, the woman screamed. There, on the centre of the table lay a shiny 50-cent piece!!!
